I love my country. It's small, the weather is great, people are very friendly... It has the advantages and disadvantages of the not very developed countries.
Portugal is located between Spain and the Atlantic in the Western part of Europe. It also includes the islands of Madeira and Azores.
It has an area of 92,389 sq km (35,672 sq mi) and a population of about 10 million. The capital is Lisbon (pop 535,740) and the language is Portuguese.
The official religion is Roman Catholic. The government is a parliamentary democracy, the
President is Jorge Fernando Branco de Sampaio (since 1996)
